For us in the US it was very interesting to hear how those in the UK gathered forces to defend their country. There was a job for everyone and history shows that it worked very well. The author did a good job.

the narration was great, but not much to work with, Its there a story in there somewhere? have no clue what the plot line was, how it resolved or what the point was, OK it was about the land girls, but had all the plot of a magazine article. Normally a book has a story line and an outcome os some sort, Is there more? Do we guess what happens?... what a waste of time, I actually wish I could just get my credit back.... Just plain MEH is the best I can say. I have no clue what the rave reviews could be for.
