Well-written and researched. It’s made me want to dig up Dickey’s magazine articles and photos. Narrator had the perfect voice for this book.

Once again Erika Robuck has dazzled us with a real life heroine who lived many incredible lives. Her detailed research of the era along with unearthing the true but almost unbelievable story of Dickey’s life will keep you engaged.

I was fascinated with this book.Dickie Chappelle with a flawed character which resonated with me. I could see myself in the places she visited and the work she did. Erica Robuck did her homework on Dickie. very little was actual fiction.
