The war is not over. The true enemy is still waiting.
With his brother defeated and Daniel’s Armor at his command, Xandir turns toward the final battle he has been moving toward all along.
The Prince of Darkness.
The ancient Serpent has not been idle. Joined by Cain, he has risen to power, building New Nod, a growing empire where mortals must submit or be destroyed. His influence is spreading, his strength is unmatched, and his grip on the world is tightening.
Stopping him will take more than strength.
It will take sacrifice.
To defeat the Prince of Darkness once and for all, Xandir must forge a chain powerful enough to bind him. But the only way to create it is unthinkable. Each link must be formed from the surrendered immortality of other eternal beings.
And not all of them are willing to give it up.
As Xandir gathers allies both old and new, he must persuade the unwilling, face impossible choices, and confront the weight of what he is asking others to lose. Because even victory will come at a cost.
If he fails, darkness will reign and humanity will fall into bondage. If he succeeds, he may finally break the chains that have bound him since the beginning.
In this sweeping continuation, the battle reaches its most dangerous and meaningful stage yet.
Perfect for listeners who love:

This third installment is a definite step up from the second book. The stakes are higher, the plot is tighter, and the world-building feels more purposeful. The concept of forging a chain from the sacrifice of immortals to bind the Prince of Darkness is both creative and thematically rich. The rise of New Nod, Cain’s alliance with the Serpent, and Xandir’s internal struggle all add depth to the narrative.
That said, the pacing still has its ups and downs, and some of the supporting characters could have been more fleshed out. At times, the story leans more on its lore than on emotional engagement. But for those who’ve followed Xandir’s journey this far, the payoff is satisfying and sets up what could be an epic conclusion.
Overall, it’s an improvement with strong ideas and good narration, worth a listen for fans of mythic and spiritual fantasy.
