this set is more upbeat and positive for the type but not too much. the female pov is a nice change from the typical. I really want to read the rest of the series.

Note to author:
I would tend to believe that the author is not experienced with firearms, especially in a combat type environment. when a group of people keeps having to chamber a round of ammunition, every time they encounter bad guys, then they are idiots. if you're in a dangerous environment, you keep your weapon fully loaded, including one round in the chamber. the sound of a round being jacked into the chamber may sound cool in the movies, but it really tells your opposition that you're a freaking unprepared idiot.
