A few Ugg moments, but lots of not predictable things, some where I knew 5-20 min before the characters. Well done. Many books in one so you get the whole story. I’d listen to this author and narrator anytime

too much anti-gun rhetoric and too much you need to share bullshit. the high pitch voices for some of the girls was annoying and a bit more research needs to be completed.

it was ok

I received this book in exchange for my honest review.
Prior to reading this, I had never considered the possibility of an EMP or its devastating effects on society. Whether realistic or not, this set of books made me think about how I would handle life without electricity, cell phones, or resources we all take for granted in our everyday lives. I liked that the two books explored the same event from two totally different perspectives. The characters in both books are well developed and relatable. I thought the narration was pretty good (although I admit I sped it up to make it flow a little better). Overall I think the plot is engaging and enjoyable. I would recommend this set to anyone that likes books that explore a world after a catastrophic anomaly.

Interesting Perspective of an Apocalypse

I wasn't aware that where "The Last Stand" ended another book "The Pulse:EMP Post Apocalyptic Fiction" started. I enjoyed "Last Stand", as I wonder what would actually happen after a EMP strike by an enemy of the United States, which I believe is a true possibility. My only criticism is that I wish the story ended too early. I was hoping to hear the writer's ideas on how these ordinary law abiding citizens continued to survive in a post EMP world. The second book "The Pulse:EMP Post Apocalyptic Fiction" started rather abruptly, but then took way too long, developing some interpersonal relationships, to get into the issues and dangers the two main charters ran into in their attempt to survive. Frankly I was too bored to complete the story.
