The Loyal Apothecary, the fourth book in The Fellowship of the Ancient Covenant series continues the grand adventures of our intrepid heroes, Ian, Serena, Jacques, and Desiree. Outremer is on the verge of being overtaken by Saladin’s army and the four are called to help. They use the treasure stored in Jerusalem for a good cause and escape with their lives. Later, they return to rescue what’s left of the templar treasure on Cyprus and end up on the run from King Philip IV of France and Pope Clement V.Philip had the Templars arrested on Friday the 13th of October 1307. The four escape from Philipclutches only to discover North America prior to Columbus’ arrival in the New World. In the modern story, the four continue to attempt to thwart the evil machinations of the Select, learning more about them and trying to get ahead of their efforts to take over the world. The Select has one nuclear weapon left from the three stolen in The Blacksmith’s Daughter. The Select intends to use one of the Baron’s special purpose drones to carry the bomb into the heartland of the United States and create military and financial havoc.
