The Maze Runner just got hilarious!

When Thomas wakes up in a dark elevator, he has no idea where he is, or even who he is! But he soon finds out he's trapped in a giant maze with 50 dudes and no chicks.

That's right, no chicks.

Welcome to the Sausage Fest.

Faced with this horrible nightmare, Thomas must figure out how to escape. But until then, he'll be shoveling lots of klunk and hangin' with lots of dudes.

Talk about a bummer. A maze bummer.

The Maze Bummer is the hilarious new parody of The Maze Runner, written by top parody author Steve Lookner (Saturday Night Live, The Harvard Lampoon).

Will Thomas ever get to hang out with a girl again? Find out...in The Maze Bummer!

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

The story was funny and silly. Just as promised. My son and I listened to the story on the way back to college. We shared some good laughs. Thanks Mr. Lookner. The parody followed the Maze Runner nicely.

What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?

Mr. Brinkley's comedic timing was good. Unfortunately, my son and I thought the "said Thomas...said Newt...said Theresa" were so booming and loud that they became a distraction from the storyline. This is the only reason we gave the overall rating 3 stars.

The production almost felt like it was done in two parts...the narration...then the dialogue. There was a disconnect every time the narrator Boomed into the scene. There was no need to have a female narrate Theresa character. No real need for the special effects either in our opinion.

I thought this was a funny book, worth listening to. Looking forward to listening to more by the author.

A Funny parody

A great parody of a great story...like most things in the national lampoons style not appropriate for listening to with my kids even though the original is kid friendly. Gave it a four for that reason. If it was cleaner it would have been 5 star. I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator, or publisher.

Maze "runner" national lampoon style

Definitely not for younger kids. I do wish I had read it before them as way too sexual for that age. That said, they (elementary aged) thought it was hilarious and I ultimately got a kick out of it on my drive to work.

So dumb

Fun listen. It's a parody, so the story is so-so. Made my car ride more enjoyable.

Entertaining
