Set in the intoxicating world of 1990s New York fashion, The Model is a gripping psychological thriller about ambition, betrayal, and obsession. When supermodel Ewa Antol mysteriously vanishes at the height of her career, her childhood friend Marki becomes determined to uncover the truth behind her disappearance.

Set against the glamorous backdrop of 90s fashion—where beauty is the only currency and seventeen-year-old models earn $100,000 per day—this twisting narrative follows Marki's dangerous journey through the dark underbelly of the fashion industry. From the glittering runways of Paris to the exclusive circles of New York's elite, she will risk everything to expose the secrets that led to Ewa's disappearance.

Loved this book! The narrator is brilliant, her ear for accepts superb! Some of the erotic scenes were possibly a bit gratuitous but the plot, psychology, and overall story were so good it was minor. Interesting snapshot of polish culture too

Intricate plot with great twists!

Maybe there was a glitch with some of the listeners. I didn't have any issues. The story was complete. It was a fun listen, IMO.

I listen to Audible b2b. I listened because it was free. It could have been better, if the intent was pulp fiction they didn't succeed, in my opinion. However, Tarantino probably didn't hit right out of the gate. This author should have had it read my someone who did not know the story, before publishing. I assume this was self published. If not, you need a better editor and publisher. Keep trying, you have talent.
