What IS Real?

Yoshio is thirty years old, and his life is a mess. A shut-in living with his parents, he has no job, no relationship, and no prospects. When he receives a new sim computer game that boasts characters created with a new kind of A.I., he doesn't think much of it--until he gets drawn into a fantasy world so vibrant and lifelike that its residents can't just be game characters. Suddenly finding himself the benevolent god of a scrappy fantasy village is a lot for Yoshio to handle, but it might be the key to the change he is desperate for.

What a interesting story with an excellent message. Made me pretty emotional. I can’t wait to find out what happens. Disappointed there are only three volumes. Must be underrated.

The story started out slow, but everything else was good. You’d think that something like this wouldn’t be your cup of tea but it’s actually pretty good. You can feel the MC’s struggles and you feel like cheering him on when he tries.

I wasn't expecting much from this light novel but it was surprisingly good. I thought I would hate the 30-year-old, game-addicted, shut-in, loser main character but I found myself happy for him as his new game resparked his ambition to be part of the world and his family once again. It's actually very well done and a little heartwarming.

love the good moral nature of the book empowering a NEET to change by getting a real job while he leads his village as a disembodied god of fate. good start, good middle, the end should have more substance as the book felt short. Good charater development.

I like the story so far but a big portion of the story is dedicated to the Protagonists real life struggles and self improvement, I'm not against this but I would of rather had a bigger focus on the village.
