If you study nature closely you will understand the strategies and techniques that the natural world has developed over millions of years! Many of these strategies can be applied to the guitar. With practice, your guitar playing will become enjoyable, natural and effortless!

Nature flows. Wind and water move effortlessly through an environment filled with obstacles. Observing plants and animals can teach us how they accomplish amazing feats with minimal effort. You might be thinking, "I'm not a tree or drop of water. What does this have to do with me?" Well, that's what I hope to explain in this book.

Would you consider the audio edition of The Natural Guitar Player to be better than the print version?

The subject is well suited for both book and audio format

What did you like best about this story?

The Natural Guitar Player, in my opinion, takes the player to the point that comes after learning chords and scales, and teaches an approach that is purposeful, and both intentional and attentional.

This little book has give me a new perspective, in that it answers the big question of why, instead of how.

Which character – as performed by Adam B. Crafter – was your favorite?

Adam was fabulous throughout the book

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Of course. It was easy and informative.

Any additional comments?

This was an amazing listen. It was almost Zen-like. Paying closer attention to the details of and in nature such as water and trees, then doing the exercises make a big difference. Be sure to download the pdf and use the finger guide. There are also some inspirational photographs of nature to view if you can't get outside. And you can meet the author, Rick McKeon.

Adam B. Crafter's narrative instructions were easy to follow. He spoke clearly with a nice voice. An overall worthwhile listen.

Great Instructions On Letting Nature Be Your Guide

He attempts to teach very basic principles of guitar playing using analogies such as a seagull in mid flight or flowing water. It may provide some artistic inspiration to view guitar playing as "a part of nature" but it's really quite silly and useless. I can only see this being useful for a beginner guitar player that might not understand very basic techniques being conveyed. I've been playing for 20 years and find it humorous.

Very weird, disappointing.
