I used this book as an aid on my late night jogs during a break up. I have used stoicism as a means of ‘ ego-death ‘ in the hopes to get over my relationship ending. Maybe not philosophically sound reasoning but I really feel better after trudging through this book night after night.

As a book filled with insights this is one to come back to and reread regularly. Looking for additional ways to close the gaps in a guiding principle. Much like a nightly inventory of what we did good and what we still must work harder on, this book regularly read will be easy in some areas and still require work in others. But left on the shelf without regular review we may see more challenges than less.

this was the best book that I've listened to on the topic of stoicism. So good that I will probably revisit this book a couple times per year.
