Blake

When my parents threatened to cut me off if I wasn't married by the time I turned 30, I thought finding a wife would be easy. But apparently, I'm not the best at dating, and almost two years later, I'm still very single.

My birthday is coming up fast, and unless I want to give up the comfortable lifestyle I'm used to, I need to find someone willing to settle down quickly. I'm desperate and out of ideas, until my best friend suggests I apply for a new reality dating show.

Now I'm a contestant on the first season of Love Without Labels, a completely blind reality dating show where we talk to each other through distorted voice technology and texts. No photos, ages, genders, or even names will be revealed until we decide to move in together.

I knew all of this when I signed up, and even though I'm straight, I assumed it would be easy to tell if I was talking to a woman.

Apparently, I was wrong.

Liam

It's my final season working for the family farm before I take over for my dad. I'm ready to find someone to build a real future with, but I know they aren't in my small hometown.

Love Without Labels feels like the perfect chance to find my person. I've never cared much about labels anyway. All I want is someone who's loyal, honest, and I can share my dreams with.

As we narrow down our matches, there's only one person I can imagine a future with. Someone who listens, makes me laugh, and feels wanted in a way I haven't in a long time.

But while I've kept my mind open about who I'm falling for, apparently, he's been convinced I was a woman this entire time.

Will he still want to continue building on the connection we have now that he knows the truth? Or was this relationship doomed before it could really even begin?

Such a creative new series! The writing and narrators are excellent. The plot is original, spicy, funny, and all the other feels too. I am really looking forward to the rest of the books in this series coming out soon!

This was such a fun read. I adored Liam and Blake and seeing both of them grow. Blake is such a human golden retriever and it endeared me to this book so quickly. Definitely recommend for a sweet and fun read with a fun new premise - dating reality show!

Such a fun low angst read

I love the premise for this series. A truly love is blind dating show where they take out genders and everything to form connections.

Blake is a 29 year old 'straight' man, former NFL draft, never had a job, and also just kind of a player. He's been given an ultimatum by his parents to get married by 30 or get cut off —well apparently he's terrible at dating. So what's the next step? Obviously sign up for a queer dating show, he'll probably only match with women anyways 🤪

Liam is 28, runs a farm with his dad and hasn't found someone he truly trusts to live his life with. But his dad is retiring and this is dating show he signed up for might as well be his last shot to really find love. He’s out and bi, but he's not expecting to fall for a football loving, self proclaimed 'straight' man.

Their story is romcom funny, with only a little slice of drama that only reality tv could bring. Blake is Mr. Happy-go-lucky and is all in trying to make things work with his newfound partner. Liam has his hesitations about being with someone who only thought he was straight up until now, he won't be anyone's sexual experiment, not again. But boy oh boy are the sparks flying.

The audiobook was so much fun, Alexander Cendese and Mac Rae did an awesome job bringing Blake and Liam to life.
