"You may have been the princess of your pack, but I want to make you the queen of mine."
I was born the night my pack bathed the forest in Ashfire's blood.
Emberclaw howled in triumph and Ashfire was buried beneath the ground.
My father called it fate. My birth, a blessing. And me, a princess.
But life's never felt royal.
Now, my father is dying, my brother rules like a tyrant, and I'm supposed to be mated off to a stranger.
It's a deal, not a mating. And I'm done being the pack's obedient princess.
So I run before I can be claimed by some billionaire Alpha.
But, as fate would have it, I run right into him.
Kenan. The last heir of Ashfire. The Alpha with no pack.
He is the enemy who swears to destroy me.
To him, I am the daughter of the Alpha who stole everything from him. I am the enemy's blood. His key to vengeance.
I should fear him.
I should despise him.
But when he comes closer, something dangerous stirs in our hearts, something that shouldn't exist between enemies.
The mate bond.
It hums like something alive. Dangerous, forbidden, pulsing beneath every threat and every tie of fate we try to deny.
Kenan Ashfire is my fated mate.
And despite his hatred, I see him falter every time he looks at me. His wolf calls out to mine even in the silence between us and it's getting harder and harder not to claim him as mine.
The time is running out. My brother is hunting us. And a war is looming over our heads.
However, the longer I stay in his darkness, the closer we get to the truth; and we realize that the real enemy isn't him or me, it’s the pack I was born into... and the secret they’re willing to kill to protect.
Brooding Alpha meets his fierce Luna in this wolf shifter romance which ties the knot with a happy ending and a baby.

it didn't feel like much of a rejection, it was just something neither wanted to acknowledge, until they did.
The ending was also very sudden and anticlimactic
and for hard of hearing audiobook listeners, I didn't realize that this was virtual voice narration. The women's voice is very soft, you practically need a stadium sized sound system to hear. I usually don't buy virtual voice, but I wasn't paying attention and couldn't return it
