Rick Simpson is a retired power engineer who worked for 25 years in Canada’s medical system. After suffering a severe head injury in 1997 he took all the medications doctors prescribed, but their side effects did nothing but harm. In desperation, he turned to the use of self-produced cannabis extracts and quickly found that he rediscovered one of the greatest natural medicines that can cure and control many different illnesses. Today, these extracts are usually called RSO or Rick Simpson Oil. Rick Simpson put up the phoenixtears.ca website in 2004 to spread the knowledge about the healing abilities of cannabis extracts. He has also written two books on that subject 'The Rick Simpson Story' and 'Rick Simpson Oil - Nature’s Answer for Cancer'. The first one relates the story of his life in Canada, his rediscovery and the things he went through in order to make his rediscovery known to all. For more than a decade he has been fighting for the repeal of all laws concerning the regulation of cannabis use with the aim of making it once again freely accessible to all. He has held many lectures on the subject and received numerous awards in recognition of his efforts and struggles, as well as for the impact his work has had on the changing legislation concerning cannabis in many countries around the world. “I wanted to share my experience with you, concerning all the difficulties I encountered, after I discovered that extracts from cannabis hemp plant can cure cancer, and also cure or control a wide variety of other serious medical problems as well. I also described the medical miracles, many patients have experienced, with the use of these extracts. For the most part, this book covers my story from 2003, up until 2012.
