Football players are treated like royalty in our small town, which makes Beckham Carver their king.

As the new quarterback of the Braysen Bulldogs, he's also my boyfriend's biggest rival. Add that to the list of reasons I should stay far away from him.

But when my truck breaks down, Beckham makes me an offer I can't refuse: He'll repair my pickup in exchange for me tutoring him. I have only one stipulation—no one, including my boyfriend, can find out.

The more I try to convince myself and Beckham that I hate him, the more he pushes my buttons to prove me wrong. Worse, the lines we've drawn between us blur as we spend more time together. And when my relationship comes crashing down around me, I almost forget why I couldn't stand him all along.

If I've learned one thing about Beckham Carver, it's that he always gets what he wants...

...and now, he's set his sights on me.

USA Today bestselling author Brooke O'Brien brings all the hate-to-love feels in this rivals-to-lovers, small-town college football romance.

Book 1 with Holland and Beckham had me in rapt attention. The action, love, and the cute way they and the other characters related to each w made this a great read. I only expect as much from book 2.

Loved It!

Beckham and holland had great chemistry through the story

Holland did have a boyfriend that was very controlling always fighting being in two different colleges put a strain on their relationship but always the way he was treating her, so he becomes the ex Beckham comes in and tries to win her over and is trying to get her to admit that she falling for him through out the story. I love they say weeks apart from a new event in their story so it wasn’t like a 3 day love you relationship, But months in the making.

The antagonist i started to figure out in the middle of the book but the way they write made it a good mystery.

The spice is what gave the book its 3 stars

What I didn’t like was that, she didn’t write about Beckham back storyline, he waits for her back storyline but he doesn’t do the same with her. Which is not fair. Plus us readers would to know the story line always cause it is mention in the book but no details what’s up with that, and I didn’t like how she was always honest with him, when it came to problems and trusting him. But he is keeping secrets from her. And I few mistake on some of the chapters saying a person wasn’t there but the next chapter that person is there now a bit confusing 🫤 but it is a good story.

Great story but need more !

This is a story that pulls you in from the beginning. Enemies to lovers, rivals, alpha male, strong female characters, and enough suspense to propels the story forward, making you want to keep listening long after you should go to bed.

The dual narration is well done.

Solid, steamy sports romance with some suspense
