I’ve fallen victim to a heinous act. An act so vile, so downright dirty, that I’m not sure as a 20-year-old man I'll ever recover. Brace yourself, because what I’m about to tell you might have you gasping in secondhand horror.

Ready? Here it goes....I’ve recently become the pawn of a meddling mom. Yes...a meddling mom - who's been trying to set me up all summer. Now, I understand it’s not a crime for a mother to want her child to fall in love, but when she makes it her relentless mission, the heinous act should be classified as a misdemeanor at least.

Of course, my mom, the evil matriarch in the devil’s leggings, made her final stab at finding a girl for me days before I went back to college. And I hate to admit it, but she saved a doozy for last. A titan in black skinny jeans. A boss of nonchalance. And a girl who would not only turn my life upside down, but do it while juggling a soccer ball, looking effortlessly gorgeous around campus, and is 100 percent against relationships. Of any sort. Thanks, Mom.

I loved this one! It was funny and highly entertaining. It had me laughing out loud multiple times with these characters and their families and friends. This one is definitely more of a slow burn on the romance as it was a setup by their mothers that had them meeting for the first time right before they were going back to college even though they grew up fairly close together. Neither are really interested in their mother's meddling but Lincoln ends up very intrigued by Indie though she is very clear that she is not interested in dating and focused on soccer. They end up being in the same class and ending up as partners so it puts them in a position to get to know each other and become friends. There is definitely still a little something there between them but they keep things on the friend level for quite a while and then once they decide to take it a step further they leave it as a friends with benefits since they are both heading in different directions with what their plans are on going professional in their respective sports. I loved watching them build their friendship and relationship. It worked so well and was very genuine though they both felt more than they let on since it was just supposed to be friends with benefits and not going any further because of dreams and where they were each planning to head. I really fell in love with both Indie and Lincoln and loved their relationship and banter throughout the story. They definitely had some things that they needed to deal with and Indie had some issues that she needed to work through that took some time. This story was very engaging and flowed very well. I absolutely loved it and am excited for what's next in the series.
The narrators did a great job with the story and the characters and showcasing the emotion and action through their voice and bringing the story to life. I really enjoyed it.

Loved this one!!!

Indie and Lincoln. Wow what a story. A friends to lovers trope with a few twists and some major highs and lows. Fair warning that there are years of distance but still a HEA. Also the narrators are awesome.

One of my favorites in the series

Maybe it’s just me, but do yourself a favor and ignore the cover art and just use your imagination for a better Lincoln (or search Pinterest). Makes for a better story imo
This is one of my favorites in the Brentwood series! I was glad to get away from huge misunderstandings but sad we still had yet ANOTHER time gap… glad we still get an HEA though.

Spice? Yes.
Romance? Yes.
Some comedy? Also yes, loved the two moms. 🩷
Good narration as well! Connor Crais has a dreamy voice

So cute, one of the better Brentwood books! Just ignore the cover art
