In the vibrant city of Savannah, Lucas Grayson, a decorated former Army Ranger Sniper Sergeant Major, embarks on a new chapter in his life by moving into an apartment. On the day of his move, he crosses paths with Camille Robichaux, an executive assistant at a marksmanship school, in a chance encounter that forever changes his life. As they help each other move on from past relationships, Lucas and Camille form a deep connection, finding solace and companionship in each other's presence.

Their budding romance is cut short when Camille's violent ex-boyfriend, Denis Marchand, reemerges, causing chaos and destruction. After discovering her best friend Leah's lifeless body in her trashed apartment, Camille finds herself in grave danger from Denis. With the help of Lucas, Penn, Booker, and Robb, she narrowly escapes Denis's clutches once. However, his obsession and thirst for revenge drive him to attempt her kidnapping again.

In this heart-pounding thriller, the line between love and danger blurs as Lucas and Penn must rely on their combat training to protect Camille.

Not bad for virtual voice. Camille is a great female lead. I like reading about females who never play the victim. She's a survivor and Fortunately end up with a great man. Yeah the love was quick, but who cares. Once you feel it, you should always go with it. Lucas and all the male characters were perfect gentlemen, except Dennis. It's too bad that Leah and Dennis played mind games with each other. They should have made their relationship official before him meeting Camille. It would have saved Camille the heartbreak, but then she would have never met Lucas the way that she did.
