A wedding in Spain. The most infuriating man. Three days to convince your family you're actually in love. . .

Catalina Martín desperately needs a date to her sister's wedding. Especially when her little white lie about her American boyfriend has spiralled out of control. Now everyone she knows – including her ex-boyfriend and his fiancée – will be there.

She only has four weeks to find someone willing to cross the Atlantic for her and aid in her deception. NYC to Spain is no short flight and her family won't be easy to fool. . . But even then, when Aaron Blackford – the 6'4", blue-eyed pain in the arse – offers to step in, she's not tempted even for a second. Never has there been a more aggravating, blood-boiling and insufferable man.

But Catalina is desperate and as the wedding gets closer the more desirable an option Aaron Blackford becomes. . .

The Spanish Love Deception is an enemies-to-lovers, fake-dating romance. Perfect for those looking for a steamy slow-burn with the promise of a sweet happy-ever-after.

"Everything you could want in a romance is right here."
Helen Hoang, author of The Kiss Quotient

I don’t even know how to explain why I loved this book. I was smiling and laughing. Lina’s energy was so beautiful and bubbly that you can’t help but see the best in every situation. The characters have depth and the way Lina was in her head thinking was this real or pretend makes me think about my mind. Second question even when the answer is quite obvious. Aaron was HOT. I mean the way he held himself but how he relaxed with Lina. He makes me want a man like that, a man who only shares he’s secrets with me.
I think the narrator brought Lina’s character to life but sometimes I felt Aaron’s voice was a bit off but only sometimes.

I love it. I'm sick of those love stories where in the middle there is some kind of fight that they can't talk through. You can follow two people falling in love and enjoy their story. You can't but love them both (and her family).

so wonderful

I hated the narration. It’s nothing on the voice actor, but if you are performing as someone who comes from Spain, at least make sure you got all the words right!
It totally ruined the book for me.

As for the story: I had read that this book was good but way too long for it’s own good and I have to say I wholeheartedly agree. It’s your typical enemies-to-lovers, with the perfect male love interest who acts like a jerk but it actually the sweets and hottest guy on earth.
Some descriptions felt a little weird, though. Like, for someone who needs over a hundred pages to realize she likes the guy, she sure finds many ways of describing his ocean blue eyes and Superman-like jaw.
But, all in all, it’s all it’s set out to be and pretty good at that
