Where did they find the moron who tried to read this book? It was unlistenable.

In addition, there was constant ridiculous background music.

I want my credit back!

The story was great but the reading was amateurish and the background music was very annoying. I could not finish. This was a sad production of a classic book.

Terrible reader, no flow, stumbling often with punctuation , halting , flat butchering the French words over and over again

The absolute worst reader I ever heard. So bad I couldn't finish this book.

The worst narrator

I listen to a lot of Audible books, and this is by far the worst Audible production I've encountered. The constant background music drove me insane, the narrator's voice was rough and grating, and his delivery stuttered and halted as he struggled (unsuccessfully) to pronounce foreign names that clearly had not been practiced or edited. It's thievery to charge for this embarrassment.
