Robert's journey continues, but not as planned. Removed from Earth, Robert Williams arrives in Oakhaven with his new student, Elara. Book 2 sees Robert solidify his foundation, Start to build a home, and delving into the lucrative art of Enchanting. As Elara begins her own rapid magical development thanks to Robert's unique Teaching skill, Robert grapples with local politics, establishes vital connections, and crafts powerful artifacts. However, external forces take notice, and a devastating attack forces Robert to unleash world-shaking spells, escalating the stakes and drawing the attention of powerful figures across the kingdom and beyond. The path of the Forerunner grows steeper and more dangerous.

Now I need to go out and get the next book after reading this one. I have found it to be an excellent book and didn’t fall back into the overly slaughter fest or too much into the casual daily grind. Overall, it was a fairly good book and I look forward to the next one.

Excellent second book!

the story is a simple man who is selected to be earth's forerunner and the character growth that comes with that. I loved it

real life feeling of OP growth

I like how the MC needs to grind like anyone else to level. Also love how he guides the young ladies whom he takes as students. Would love to see how he handles a male student and I’m really looking forward to the next book! My work place allows me to have one earbud in to listen to audiobooks (or music) and this has been one of my few repeat listens.

How OP the main character is but also how he works for it

So I’m just wondering why there’s strange quotes at the beginning of every chapter. This is the second book and it still feels like the author is directionless

Good but not great

Before this review, know I'll be getting the 3rd book also.

The author knows all the words, and can even string them together in ways that make sense - so we're already above average for litrpg.

The story doesn't really have a direction, and it's not written as a day in the life of... it's just words meandering along.

I'm okay with this, it's great background noise to not really pat attention to.

The book becomes very frustrating when you start paying attention. The repeat of everything is insane. Mc has 5 minute inner dialog about doing thing x, Mc has 5 minute external (cringe) dialog with random character that we won't hear from again about doing thing x, Mc starts to do thing x. Thing x is done in the exact way the it was previously described!

but waiiiit! Mc has dialog with his ai about thing x.

This repetition happens in various forms throughout the book, sometimes only twice, sometimes up to for times.
It is insane.

Narration is great.

ummm, meh.
