August 2034, Dublin, Ireland

For over four hundred years, Lorcan has privately mourned the loss of his human lover. Publicly, however, he has shed all trappings of his life as Ruarc, ruthlessly climbing the ranks of House Diluthical to achieve the rank of Consul, only a step below second-in-command. The rise of the Triumvirate in opposition to the Court of Shadows provided ample opportunities he has been able to turn to his advantage over the years.

Nicholas Jameson wants only to continue living his mortal life as a touring musician, before he was brutally drawn into the conflict between Luscian and the Triumvirate. Claiming his birthright after the Burning is a decision he immediately regrets, especially after the Court saddles him with a liaison officer, ostensibly to negotiate between House Luscian and the rest of the Court of Shadows: Lorcan Consul Diluthical.

Still, he’s just one little vampire. How much trouble can he be?

so I feel like this series is not getting enough traffic! I think this series has been absolutely wonderful and one of the types that you want to keep reading each book. even though most of the books are extremely small they're still worth the read! as always Greg Tremblay does a phenomenal job of narrating. this is a series not to miss for sure. can't wait for the next one

absolutely love this series
