Mitch Albom
The inventor of the world's first clock is punished for trying to measure God's greatest gift. He is banished to a cave for centuries and forced to listen to the voices of all who come after him seeking more days, more years.
Eventually, with his soul nearly broken, Father Time is granted his freedom, along with a magical hourglass and a mission: a chance to redeem himself by teaching two earthly people the true meaning of time.
He returns to our world—now dominated by the hour-counting he so innocently began—and commences a journey with two unlikely partners: one a teenage girl who is about to give up on life, the other a wealthy old businessman who wants to live forever. To save himself, he must save them both. And stop the world to do so.
Told in Albom's signature spare, evocative prose, this remarkably original tale will inspire readers everywhere to reconsider their own notions of time, how they spend it, and how precious it truly is.

I'm am so guilty of being over-dependent on time. I even sleep with my watch on! This book made me more aware of how futile it is and how I need to just enjoy each minute given to me. What would the world be like without the concept of time? Very interesting, thought-provoking and yet enjoyable book.Over Dependent on Time

If you could sum up The Time Keeper in three words, what would they be?
Value every momentWhat did you like best about this story?
Great story for adults in the car and when you can get high school kids to stop playing video games and really listen with great interest as well that's even better. The fact the high school kids were upset when we got to the hotel for the night and the story was not over and they wanted to stay in the car even longer was even more impressive Mitch! I would call this one of those family TIMES I will always remember, We thank you Mitch for giving us that family memory and a great way to start a vacation. What does Dan Stevens bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Mitch covers life's simple core values that often go by us without notice. In an age that values how fast we can move forward, it was a great reminder that life is really about the journey.Listened to on our last spring break ride
