In Volume One of the True Story of Trafalgar, we journeyed from the Irish countryside and Dublin, to London, England experiencing the many areas that are now historical sites. We met Alejandra, Welly, Riley and George, and we see them take advantage of the opportunities and face many of the challenges of 18th Century life. They understand the joy and happiness of finding love and family, as well as the heartbreak and sorrow when events threaten to take away those precious gifts.
In Volume Two we want to know what paths are available to Riley and George as they negotiate the changes and the challenges brought on by the war with the American Colonies. George has important choices to make in his efforts to support and possibly rejoin with his family. Sometimes, finding a way back to the simple life seems to be just out of reach. Circumstances and powerful individuals like Benjamin Franklin, Sir William Eden and Arthur Wesley all seem to have roles to play, particularly effecting George and Riley’s lives as they take their own places in the history of the world.
