We are living in what many researchers call the Psychedelic Renaissance.

The Ultimate Guide to Psychedelics is a research-based exploration of six of the most discussed psychedelic substances in modern history: MDMA, psilocybin, LSD, DMT, ayahuasca, and peyote.

Rather than promoting or instructing use, this audiobook examines:

  • The historical and cultural origins of these substances
  • The political and legal forces that shaped their prohibition
  • Modern clinical research and emerging therapeutic studies
  • The neuroscience behind altered states
  • The risks, controversies, and limitations
  • The renewed scientific and policy discussions happening today

Drawing from published studies, historical accounts, and policy shifts, this guide offers a balanced, well-researched overview designed for listeners who want to understand the facts—not the hype.

Whether you are curious about the science, the cultural history, or the evolving public policy landscape, this audiobook provides a grounded foundation for informed discussion.

This is not advocacy. It is education.

Bullseye for the psychedelic neophyte. Covers the history, chemistry, neurology, research studies, therapeutic use, counter-culture use and solo contexts of NNDA, psilocybin, LSD, peyote, ayahuasca and DMT. The author has a rye and dry tone about the reactionary grasping control of government over those potentially healing substances and the narrator has a great voice to carry off the author’s enjoyable occasional sarcasm. Also, there’s a great little history if the CIA’s and FBI’s Keystone Cop programs to use some of these substances as weapons. Worth the five hours if you’re a curious cat from therapeutic or recreational perspectives.

Many very good arguments are made - I have never seen psychedelics as a positive or healing partner to our health. I know much more and I’m excited to share this with others. If you have an interest in this topic I HIGHLY recommend you listen to this very well researched book!!
