Simon is a little brat who needs patience and protection. Cody is a wolf who needs a person to protect and call home. A fun little story that will make your lips quirk. These two annoyed me at first, but a little banter and earnestness had me invested in their outcome. The spice was just right for me and was not the whole story. I had the culprit figured out before the end but still enjoyed seeing it come to fruition. I personally wouldn't mind seeing more vampire/werewolf pairings like this hehe!
I always enjoy Kirt Graves and his character depictions and this was another job well done!

Tavia Lark doesn’t disappoint in this /not quite/ enemies to lovers story of a bratty ancient vampire twink and a compassionate and romantic werewolf top.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: I will read anything Tavia Lark ever writes. This is an author who never disappoints. This story was so lovely! The drama, the plot twist, the kind of enemies to lovers vibe, the wholesome moments!!!! It was all just perfect. I need more of this.

Enjoyable forced proximity / bodyguard story with a good mystery to solve. Both vampire and bodyguard are hampered by their powers not operating as they should and thus they need to rely on each other. Nice romantic arc. I initially wasn’t sure I was going to like a haughty main character but soon enough I was all in on both MCs. A good happy ending.
