Blazing a trail to the top of the romance best-seller lists, Anne Ashley’s scintillating novels set her devoted fans’ hearts aflame. The Viscount’s Scandalous Return stars Viscount Blackwood, a man who spent nine years in exile after being accused of killing his father and brother. He was saved from the gallows thanks only to the testimony of a young woman he’d never met. Now that he’s back, he’s on the hunt for the real killer and he’s aided by this same young lady - Miss Isabel Mortimer, who’s grown into a stunning vision of beauty and quite the amateur sleuth.

This story reminded my of a light version of a Masterpiece Theatre movie on PBS. The narrator sounds like she really is British and not a pretender.

Which character – as performed by Emerald O'Hanrahan – was your favorite?

The heroine was strong and smart, yet caring. The hero was also focused on solving the mystery of the deaths of his father and brother while being portrayed as a considerate man who had

Any additional comments?

The story and narration made for a good listen. I would definitely download more Anne Ashley books, especially those read by Emerald O'Hanrahan.
