As the threat of the livahti grows and her enemies regroup, Jael Furyck knows she cannot stop.

Escaping Hallow Wood at the head of the Brekkan army, she must find her way to Oss. Her chilling encounter with the Mistress leaves her in no doubt that Eadmund is in grave danger. But facing days on the road and a journey across the Nebbar Straights, will she arrive in time to save him?

In Sarakat, Edela and the shell-shocked crew of Sea Queen must pick themselves up and begin again. Their enemies are victorious, Raymon Vandaal is lost to them, and they need a new path to follow. But to where has he been taken, and how can they find out?

Captured by the Mistress, Mattie soon discovers that she was not the only dreamer stolen away from Osterland. The Mistress intends to claim their power for herself, so they will need to work together to find a way to escape before it's too late.

A way to escape the island of Al'athea...

Other reviews mentioned (this point, and I wholeheartedly AGREE!) that it makes no sense why Jael and Edmund can’t co-rule BOTH lands. They have more than reliable people they can trust to handle small or even somewhat larger issues, with only 1 DAY to get from one land to the other. I REALLY HOPE that whenever this last book in this otherwise PERFECT SERIES comes available…they will somehow find their way back to each other!

I can’t BELIEVE how much I enjoy this author and this series! I originally started the series just before this (“Winter’s Fury”: also about Jael Furyick but bf she ever met Edmund) and ended up BUYING BOTH SETS of these 2 series. I mention that bc I NEVER stay with a series after about book 3. But this author and the narration of each is MAGICAL. I’m soooooo glad the 1st book of EACH was included with my Audible Plus account. Now that I’ve had a taste ( & then devoured the entire series of each!) of this Author and her style of writing, I literally CAN’T STOP LISTENING! So glad I stumbled across this amazing collection!!!!

I took one Star from the overall bc of the “rushed” feeling of the narrator. It felt like the book bf this one and THIS book were on a timer, set by the publisher to whip out as MANY BOOKS as possible to Audio. I first thought it was the narrator but now having finished this book and NOT HAVING the last in the series available on Audible, it feel like more of a rush on that part and the narrator simply trying to meet a deadline. Narrator is Excellent tho. Just like the Winters Fury narrator was excellent! It’s the PERFECT COMBO of writing and narration! Keep em coming!!!

There’s nothing to dislike. These are incredibly written. I hate when they end now I have to. Wait till the next one comes out I’m still heartbroken about Jael in Edmond. Not understanding why they can’t rule both kingdoms. I anxiously await the next book as well as everyone else I’m sure.

I have been in love with these characters for years! I cry when they cry, I'm scared when they're scared, and I'm angry when they're angry! A.E. Rayne is my favorite author!

Love!

I enjoyed this series, but at this point I just want it to end! The bad guys just shift from one entity to the next, and the characters are continuously fighting off all kinds of weird threats. Been like that the entire time, so a bit of creature exhaustion has set in. However, I'm a sucker for a good cast of characters, so I stuck with it.

Still okay but repetitive

I’ve read both series. The Furyks and The Fate of The Furyks series. Can’t wait to see what comes nest from her.

A. E. Rayne is a master story teller
