An editor's desk is nothing like any other desk, such as those of businesspeople or professionals. It is a “non-place”, almost mystical, certainly magical, where you encounter a harmonious “normally chaotic” orderly disorder, a world made up of infinite worlds (...). This book brings together, in a somewhat disordered order, some of the articles I have written over the last five years. Just like my desk, it often contains food for thought, comments and responses on a variety of topics, but with a common thread: the mind and heart of the person who wrote them. I simply “put everything together”. Then I discarded, corrected, cut and “put it all back together”. I believe that the task of those who choose an “intellectual” profession permeates every aspect of their lives and the things they do, and consists precisely in this: reading reality, asking questions, metabolising everything and “giving it back” to the world with different interpretations that can serve as stimuli for further reflection.
