This book was my first foray into Ryan Kirk’s writing. I now have another author I will be subscribing to!

This story is very unique yet a familiar arc. The setting, characters and magic system are compelling. It feels like magic interwoven with steam punk but not in a classic steam punk fashion. I really enjoyed exploring the world with Radyn and look forward to reading the next books in the series.

The narration of the book is great, Christopher Brown does an excellent job of voice acting between characters. A good narrator often makes and breaks audiobooks for me, I’m delighted at the job well done for These Fallen Swords.

A classic hero's journey story set in one of the most truly unique fantasy worlds I have read.
Fantasy favorite themes are implemented in a creative world system that gives them a life of their own.
The story pulls you forward with a compelling thread of mystery and power, and the narration is fantastic.

This story left me on edge. After each chapter I found myself wondering what would happen next. I definitely did not see that ending coming but I do believe that it’s a grand story. The voices for each individual character were top notch and each of them sounded like a different person! You don’t get that very much. With the voices going together so well and with the story leaving me with cliffhangers every time I hand to pause the audiobook, I give These Fallen Swards an A++ and not just for effort, but for true greatness!!😎🫡
