After 13 years of entrepreneurship, I have heard every piece of business advice you can imagine. I've experimented more than most and implemented most of what I've heard. In the book Zero to One by Peter Thiel, he mentions that during interviews he asks the candidate "What important truth do very few people agree with you on?"

Well, in This is the Answer, Dan lays out a whole string of truths that he believes, many of which rub against common knowledge. The thing is though, he's right on most of them.

It's easy to just take what everyone agrees with and regurgitate it. Even intelligent people can get caught up on "the best practices" if you hear it enough, even if they are wrong. Dan is willing to challenge your thinking on a lot of this.

This book is super refreshing to me. As an experienced entrepreneur I've stopped listening to most business books because so many are crap. Dan's voice is unique, and his message is very educational, even to the experienced. This book has me rethinking some current projects, and lets me see what contributed to past success in a new light.

I really recommend this book, and I'll probably re-listen again in a year or so.
