Nick and his two children are on a three day hiking trip on Cat Mountain. Nick is divorced from his children’s mother because they didn’t see eye to eye. Kristi on the other hand is trying to salvage her marriage and this is her and her husband’s last ditch effort. Along the way they end up camping in the same spot on the mountain with Nick and his children. During the night a rogue bear attacks their camp and Kristi’s husband is mauled to death. Nick saves Kristi from the same fate as the four of them run from the bear because it now obsesses itself on human flesh.
