When a murderer strikes at the Netherfield ball, can Darcy, Wickham, and Elizabeth work together to catch a poisoner?

Fitzwilliam Darcy and George Wickham were raised almost as brothers, until a terrible truth from their shared past derailed everything. Now, both are in Meryton with a poisoner on the loose. It's their job to catch the killer, but both men are waist deep in secrets.

Already quite miserable at the Netherfield ball, Elizabeth Bennet has no idea how bad things will get. When Mr. Wickham arrives, sick, disheveled, and with claims that the food is poisoned, he is not the suave and elegant man she admires. But she quickly finds that Mr. Darcy is not who she thought either.

Could it be that both men are better than they seemed?

Change the names and it could be a story about anyone. Gotta love who ends up with who. Sad story with a happy-ish ending. I enjoyed the story and the narrator.

Interesting Twist, Far From Canon

Benjamin Fife’s voice acting skills are so exceptional that I cannot conceive why any discerning listener would actually pay to endure the wishywashy monotone of the sound produced by artificial intelligence.

Mr. Fife’s renditions of ridiculous Mr. Collins and imperious Lady Catherine are priceless. He attaches a special touch of malice to the voice of our poisoner, and enables us to detect the subtle misogynistic attitude of the attorney, Mr. Philips. All of his character voices are spot on. This is a great interpretation of Summer Hanford and Renata McMann’s book.
