Three men ride into the town of Glory and by the look of them, they are not coming to enjoy themselves. After a brief meeting with the local law enforcement, the sheriff lies gunned down.

Meanwhile, things are not going too well for Detective Simms. Having found love, only to have it cruelly snatched away from him, his only way of facing the loss is to seek solace from the bottom of a bottle. But soon his skills are called upon again, as he hears of a telegram sent from Glory; a cry for help.

Promises will be broken.

People will die.

And in the end, Simms will have to use all his guile and experience to survive.

To Die In Glory is a stand-alone novel, and can be enjoyed even if you haven't listened to other books in the series.

This is another good adventure in the life of Detective Simms. I love this series. There's only a few series I like this good. Starting out Simms is in a rough way because of his girlfriend and baby. He pulls himself together and gets back to doing what he does best. There is several different things going on. A group practicing cannibalism. A outlaw named Shelby has taken a town over and killed the sheriff. He wants the gold that was stolen. His wife (The Sheriff's) Is trying to keep it. Everybody wants it. Simms gets a message to go take care of Shelby. He has to leave the wemon he arrested for killing there friends and go to Glory (The town Shelby has taken over). A lot is going on and it all comes together excellently. This book is so good I was one hundred percent wrapped up in it. It's easy to follow but you do need to pay extra attention to all that's happening until it starts connecting. I'll go back and listen to it again later. There should be an extra star for books like this. Ok that's my opinion. Stuart Yates can write an excellent western. Tim Tidball does a great job narrating this book.
