This was one inTOXICating love story!!! Prepare to have your emotions put through the ringer! This story totally blew me away! I fell in love with Jeremy & Phoebe's story from the very beginning and then from there I felt all the emotions Phoebe went through. Toxic was my first Kim Karr novel and I will absolutely be reading more of her books. The way she weaves a story together is amazing!
I absolutely loved this book and all the characters included. They made for one hell of a story! Jeremy & Phoebe's love was definitely inspiring and an example of just how far you will go for the one you love!

The romance of Jeremy and Phoebe is convoluted enough to give me a whiplash. After they got back together after years apart, it wasn't smooth sailing for these star crossed lovers. They break up and got back together so many times, their HEA was a miracle. Jeremy had two significant others that were problematic and stuck like glue. One was just a friend and the other was a non starter. Phoebe did not find it funny though.

There was no cheating or cliff hanger.

Seriously! I made myself keep listening hoping it would get better? Grow on me? Something! But Lucy Rivers' dialogue voice is soooo bad I have no idea if I like this story or not. I had to quit listening before even getting to 30%. Her narration is ok but her dialogue voice is awful. Phoebe is too girly - irritating - and her voice for any male in the story comes across robotic. Poor Jeremy sounds so flat and emotionless. Thankfully I didn't waste a credit on this! Just no.
