It really works for me. As it started, I got in the noir groove and set in to soak up the standard detective story vibes. Then it shifted, just a bit. Don’t want to tell story bits here, but the characters I expected to betray the narrator didn’t. The path I thought the story would take changed. The guy who read it did a great job as well. When Mike Kupari writes books, I buy them.

This book was fantastic. I have the paperback but wanted to listen to it on a car trip. It kept me well entertained for the 8 hour drive!! I would love more stories in this universe!
