The Pacific Crest Trail stretches 2,650 miles from Mexico to Canada, drawing hikers, adventurers, and those seeking the solitude of the wild. But among the breathtaking landscapes, a darker story unfolds—one of unexplained disappearances, grisly murders, and unsolved mysteries that haunt the trail.

Inside True Crime: Pacific Crest Trail, you'll discover:
🔪 The Vanished Thru-Hikers – Multiple solo hikers disappeared without a trace, leaving behind only their abandoned gear.
🔪 The Murder at Callahan’s Lodge – A shocking killing near a well-known trail stop left authorities baffled.
🔪 The Missing Family – A couple and their child set out for a weekend hike but were never seen again.
🔪 The Unidentified Body in the Sierra Nevada – A mysterious hiker found dead with no ID, no missing person’s match, and a backpack filled with cryptic notes.
🔪 The Ghost of Cascade Locks – Locals swear a restless spirit lingers near the trailhead, connected to a long-forgotten murder.

From eerie legends whispered among hikers to real-life cases that remain open to this day, this book explores the dark side of the Pacific Crest Trail. Are you ready to take the journey?

Virtual Narration was very good. Stories were excellent and well done. One of my favorite books to add to collection.

The stories are good, but only one was ever solved. One hiker survived. One story was in Florida. The title should have said PCT and other hiking trails. The fake narrator had a soothing voice. But there were many mistakes. That was grating. This author also has a true crime book about the Appalachian Trail, which was slightly better than this one. If I did not have a huge interest in these trails, I may not have finished the book due to narration errors and an overall disjointed feeling. The author spends too much time at the end of each chapter on memorializing the pain of the grieving families. So much that it seems like filler. I am only interested in the disappearances, investigation, and suspects. Since the two books are in the Included Library, I recommend giving them a chance, but I would not spend credits.

I really enjoyed listening to this book. I was skeptical about the narration when I heard it was going to be AI, but it turned out great with a few mispronunciations. But they didn’t interfere with the story at all. The telling of the story was great in general, and the stories were very compelling and interesting. I listened to this straight for several days. I’m looking for another one just like it highly recommend.
