Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Absolutely (one who liked Twilight, anyway). It's an interesting AU while making some improvements on Twilight.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I'd probably say Beau, actually. He was pretty adorable and, I thought, very likable. The times when he wasn't were basically holdovers from Bella, like unnecessary lying and running into a trap and being kind of a dick to his classmates sometimes, which actually seemed a bit forced and out of character for him. But overall, I found him very likable.

What about Michael Crouch and Ilyana Kadushin ’s performance did you like?

Didn't listen to the Twilight part, so I can't comment on the woman, but Crouch did a very nice job. This is the first time I heard him. I thought he was perfect for this book. He captured Beau just right and did a good job with the other characters too.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Well, it's really long and I feel lazy when I'm not doing anything else while I'm listening to a book. But it kept me listening and interested throughout.

Any additional comments?

Don't listen to the haters. If you like Twilight, check this book out. Try to keep an open mind. You might find you like it even better than the original, as I did.

Liked it even better than Twilight

I really enjoyed Midnight Sun, Twilight from Edward's point of view, because it gave more insight into Edward's telepathic and his sister's precognition and Jasper's empathic abilities. I enjoyed Twilight as an adventure. I thought Edward was too morose and Bella kind of pathetic (I had no interest in inhabiting the pov of someone like Bella), but imagining myself as a sexy, powerful vampire was fun. (I'm male.) "Live and Death" just switches the genders of a bunch of the characters in Twilight. But one day I was especially bored and tried Life and Death. Right at first, it seemed pretty same old, but I quickly got sucked into it. OMG! I had flashbacks of moments when I have been hypnotized by a very beautiful woman, having that really pathetic lost puppy dog feeling. I've never had a beautiful woman being nuts over me, but I suddenly empathized with Bella Swann more than I ever thought possible. AND I understood why many women loved Twilight. So now I am hopelessly in love with Edith via Bo, and even though I know what is going to happen, i am dying for the next moment they are together, just as Bo is. I'm just amazed by myself. I don't think women will care for this version, but I might recommend it to men if you are interested in a strange emotional experience.

Better than I expected
