Another masterpiece by the author. Will keep you guessing until the end. The narrator was superb. So many different voices and each one unique and convincing. I will wait a few days to digest the content and then will likely listen to the audio book again!

I loved LaPlante’s Anna Travis series so I continue to try her other works. Lately, I am just disgusted by all of her female characters sniveling and crying all of the time. This book is no exception. The main character is initially made to seem like a strong woman who is a good-getter, but she is quickly reduced to sobbing, weak woman who is desperate to get her husband back. LaPlante’s female sexual kinkiness seems to lurk in most of her books too. If you are a confident woman or like head-strong women, this is not your book.

For an avid mystery, thriller, police procedural fan such as myself, this new book, by our star thriller author Lynda La Plante, proves once again why she is such. Boy can she think up plots and write them! As the summary mentions, be aware that this book deals with tough subject matter(s), however, it is also very informative. Otherwise, twists and turns galore. Could not stop listening.
