Later in life hero and heroine join forces to aid a young woman suffering amnesia.

Lois has come home to reconnect with her daughters.

At a snowy March midnight, Lois Blair arrives at her lakeshore home. A frantic dog leaps against her car window—barking, obviously demanding her help. Without hesitation, she follows the dog through the forest to find a young woman lying, unconscious. In the morning, the girl is diagnosed with dis-associative fugue, a form of amnesia. No ID, no car, no clues. Taking in the nameless young woman and her dog, grandmother Lois finds an ally in the local vet, Dr. Jacob.

He’s still mourning the loss of his wife.

But as Dr. Jacob helps Lois with the girl’s dog, he’s increasingly attracted to this compassionate but oh-so-refined woman. And Lois finds herself drawn to him, an outdoors man so different from her late starched-shirt husband. Is falling in love only for the young?

Still they both wonder—why isn’t anyone searching for the young woman? Or is someone?

You don’t want to miss the exciting climax to this suspenseful, second chance at love romance set on the rugged shore of Lake Superior by USA Today bestselling author Lyn Cote.

“Another exciting story with one surprising event after the other. The characters are easy to love, and the events keep you reading. It’s a book you won’t want to miss!”

“A page turning mystery romance with relatable characters (Lois and Jacob), unexpected twists, delightful dogs, and a mystery woman.”

This Christian romantic suspense novel is excellent. I appreciated it particularly because it features older adults, deviating from the typical focus on younger characters. It's a refreshing reminder that romance isn't exclusive to the young. The book also offers an engaging mystery and thrilling excitement.

Good mystery

I read these out of order, so I have read Jessica’s love story before I read this one. So I knew just enough about her backstory to be eager to read this one and I enjoyed it as much as I expected.

Maybe my favorite in the series
