A committee of creditors hires 3J, one of whom is the leader of a White Nationalist organization on the government’s domestic terrorist list. When the member realizes he will not get paid back everything he is owed, he blames 3J, a Black attorney, and opposing counsel, a Jewish attorney.
How far will the hater go to get paid back and what steps will he take to do so in the name of White Nationalism?

Author Mark Shaiken is unafraid to show the hate present in the world. Giving readers both a Jewish debtor’s counsel and a black female lawyer on the creditor’s side, the bigotry and hate unsurprisingly comes forth in a read titled “Unfair Discrimination.” But, in classic Shaiken fashion the legal term unfair discrimination means so much more, and 3J is determined to see it come to fruition.
Undergoing hate for her gender and skin color, 3J questions whether she’s made the right decision seeking out this representation as it begins to impact her case. Never one to back down, 3J once again shows her fierce attitude, steadfast mentality, and commitment to doing what’s right. Shaiken navigates his characters so well as rural Kansas political views and extremists take root in this story. Oscillating between the heart of Kansas City, MO and Kansas border towns, “Unfair Discrimination” dives into the legalities each state faces while an entirely enthralling, plot driven thrill ride unfolds.
From talking coffee makers to late night barn meetings, more of O’Brien’s Bar and Pascale’s never ending office organization, “Unfair Discrimination” showcases more of Shaiken’s unshakable talent for crafting bold characters and electrifying cases.
