A very good story. It wasn’t too long for me not to get disinterested in the story line.

Sometimes I am in the mood for a short romance that I can finish quickly. Unlikely Mate was a sweet, spicey, novella about bear shifters who are looking for a forever love. In this one, Silas and Cait are the main protagonists. I enjoyed this book for the most part. I did find Cait a bit on the annoying side at times because of how wishy-washy she was. As a couple though they were very sweet. The virtual voice was better than I expected but there were still times when it wouldn't get the emotional tone right. I will probably listen to more in the series.

I love the storyline

Silas is taken with Cait immediately, his bear standing up in the presence of its mate. Though not a shifter, Cait hates the idea of Silas being with another woman. A great start to this series and the BfB world of bears, wolves and dragons. Steamy goodness awaits and I look forward to devouring them all. I read the wolves' tales already so it will be fun to see how it all started.
