I had high hopes for this book as something I could recommend to parents who didn't know where to turn after their children were diagnosed with autism. The early pages were by and large accurate and supportive of a strengths-based approach to raising autistic children. Unfortunately, when the author turns to therapy ABA is presented front and center as an acceptable intervention. There wasn't any mention of the drastic long-term results for the children subjected to this abuse.
