He was my best friend, my best not-really-big-brother and my best protector. He was my best everything. He was mine.

Coming home is hard for Lane. Hard because Harry, her beloved uncle, has died suddenly, but also because of him. Kale.

Kale Hunt has been her best friend since childhood. But it was never that simple. He was Lane's reason for leaving home and moving to New York. Seeing him with someone else, in love with someone else, shouldn't have hurt. But it did. It really, really did. So she upped sticks and left, started a new life and cut herself off from her past.

But now she's back and all the feelings are right there. As if she had never left.

Emotions are running high for everyone, and tragedy has a funny way of bringing people together. But is Lane reading the signs right? Are they still just friends, or is there something more?

This is my first book by this author and it was amazing. There were some parts that were a bit hard for me to totally believe, but the other parts far outweigh those! The depth of emotions and how they were presented was perfect. I loved the flow from normal conversation to the internal commentary about the self doubt/worthlessness the heroine feels. It is something I fully understand and can relate to. Those negative thoughts automatically pop in and you always assume the worst about yourself.... and I felt it was perfectly conveyed in the book. The narrator was fantastic as well and will look for more titles that she’s done. Thank you and I can’t wait to read more from this author!

5 Crazy Ass Must Read Stars!!!!!

This is my first LA Casey novel and I have to say that I was immensely impressed. I usually read reviews for the "new-to-me" authors but I didn't. I stumbled across this book on NetGalley and I was drawn to it immediately. The cover caught my eye and then blurb. It was hook, line, & sinker.
I haven't been so engrossed in a book like I was with this one in a long time. I, also, haven't cried this hard over book in long time. Seriously, heed this warning of nothing else...box of tissues is a necessity.
This is what I call the "trifecta of hearts". It was heart-wrenching, heart-breaking, & heart-warming.
Lane and Kale's story had me so wrapped up in their world that dinner kinda got forgotten about. (Thank goodness for delivery. Hehehe).
I'm so looking forward to reading more from LA Casey in the future and with just the one story, she has made on my Crazy Ass Stalker List.

Trifecta of hearts!

The characters were realistic and likeable. The character development of each person was nice although I would have loved to have Kale's perspective.

Great story

Until Harry, was my first book from author L.A. Casey. I was instantly hooked!
I LOVED this story so much. Friends to lovers romance are my weakness. Ms. Casey delivered beautifully. I have read it twice already and can see myself coming back to it through the years.

sooo Good!

I was really unhappy at how wrong the h was in this story. She was way more forgiving than I would've been. This book was reminiscent of 1990's Danielle Steel where the h is constantly wronged but then wins in the end. I cannot stand to read another Danielle Stee--likel book so I will not be reading any other books in this series. I have read all the Dominic series and their counterpart books Bronagh, Aideen... etc and I absolutely loved them. Although I didn't completely love the narrator "Ahern". Heather Wilds (way better) has done a fantastic job bringing this book to life. All in all this is still a really good read just not for me.

I want to smack her entire family!!!!!!!!!!!!
