After following the horribly pride filled and prejudice advice of his sisters Caroline and Louisa, as well as his best friend Fitzwilliam Darcy, Charles Bingley fled from Netherfield Park his leased estate. Although he did not know it at the time, Darcy had allowed himself to be persuaded by Charles’s sisters of Jane’s unworthiness, as he wished to separate himself from his rapidly growing feelings for her sister Elizabeth. So they returned to Town, and were both happily miserable.
As usual Jane was devastated by Mr. Bingley’s retreat and went to visit her aunt and uncle Gardiner in London. Caroline Bingley and Louisa Hurst acted in their usual manner, without regard to the feelings of any other person, especially since they assumed they had Mr. Darcy on their side. Charlotte Lucas excepted an offer of marriage from Mr. William Collins the heir of Longbourn estate.
A horrible, sycophantic man in every way, he only proposed to Charlotte after being turned down by not one or two, but three of the Bennett sisters. And even more distressing, once she and her family visited Rosings Park before the engagement, he lost once again a marriage prospect. As Charlotte decided being boiled in oil, was a better prospect, than being married to William Collins for the rest of her days.
Lizzy was visiting Derbyshire with her aunt and uncle Gardiner, when Jane writes to share the news of Lydia’s return to Longbourn from Brighton Beach. She had been gone only two full weeks, after crowing of her invitation from the Colonel’s wife to visit for the entire Summer months. Suddenly for some mysterious reason, she decided the officers were no longer fun, as such, she returned to her family. Which allowed Jane to join Lizzy and the Gardiner’s on their trip, then a chance meeting while they were in Lampton brings Darcy, Charles, Jane and Elizabeth back into each other’s company once again.
But this time both Charles and Darcy were determined not to lose the women, they now know they love and wish to marry. After several small mishaps, and misunderstandings soon the atmosphere changed, and love once again took precedence over all other feelings. The entire happy party all returned to Meryton, Mr. Bingley reopened Netherfield Park, and there was a double wedding to plan and execute. Now the thing is this, no one knew that there were several fiendish plots against the marriage of Fitzwilliam Darcy and Elizabeth Bennett. For reasons no one shall be able to discern until it is almost too late.
On the night before the weddings were to take place, William Collins persuaded Darcy to follow him to a scene, that would become the catalyst of, misunderstandings, betrayals, anger, hurt, humiliation, greed, murder, death and most of all VENGEANCE. Read on to learn all that happened, join us as we divide and multiply to surmise friend from foe. This is not an easy book to read, as there are moments of extreme sadness, dismay, deep betrayal, and loss on all sides. But all in all you will feel as though, everyone received, exactly what they deserved in the end.
