The launch of a brand-new arc in Erin Hunter’s #1 bestselling Warriors series find the Clans navigating an ominous prophecy that foreshadows the destruction of the Moonpool, and the end of the Cats' connection to StarClan.

As Leafbare approaches, a new danger threatens the Clans. Twoleg construction has encroached on Clan territory, poisoning the stream and making prey especially scarce for SkyClan. Meanwhile, their leader, Leafstar, is struggling with a loss of vision while trying to maintain authority over a Clan that increasingly doubts her ability to lead.

In ShadowClan, Tawnypelt senses peril as the Twoleg construction threatens the Moonpool, but she can’t get any cat, especially her son, TigerStar, to listen. Frustrated with the younger cats who don't respect her, she decides to take matters into her own paws.

In the midst of the chaos, Moonpaw, an apprentice struggling to understand the mysterious voice in her head, thinks that she might be having visions. But the voice becomes increasingly sinister, and Moonpaw wonders if it's a sign of darkness on the horizon.

She messed up pronunciation of names a lot, especially early on. There was a lot of unneeded pausing in sentences or just her having odd inflection.
Get a better narrator please!

Great story! Terrible narrator.

Ok, first of all I have to address the narrator, like why did you change it. Why!? The new narrator was pretty good, she mispronounced a couple words, and there were a couple awkward pauses, but overall she was pretty good! It just took me a while to get into it though. But, OMG, THE ENDING!!!???!!! WHHHHYY!!! the story is suuuoer good, I was starting to wonder if the Erin team was running out of ideas’s, but this was totally changed my mind!! I love the creepy aspect of moonpaws voice, and the mystery surrounding the two leg destruction! Also, “SPOILER ALERT” I am 100% team Tawnyfeather!!!!! (Just like I was team CrowFeather, and CrowPool) I reeeeaaaaallllllllyyyy hope it works out!! Pleeeeeeaaaaassseeeee finish the next one sooooon!! -Nightpool

MY DOUBTS ARE GONE!! ❤️ 😁 😆

I'm so sad to say how disappointing this one was. While it definitely feels like something big is brewing, the majority of this book is old cats complaining that younger cats have no respect or good ideas, and for the third series in a row a young cat getting weird voices and visions and probably causing a cataclysmic issue because they won't tell anyone what's going on. But no one has accused warriors of being hyper original in a while haha, and I'm still interested to see where this goes.

My biggest issue though is the new narrator. Unlike when it was voiced by MacLeod Andrews, there is very little difference in any cats voice. They're either a high pitched valley girl, or gruff and sounding bored and angry. It's alarming to hear such an irritated sounding voice, followed by "she said cheerfully". Long, awkward pauses mid sentence, lack of consistency in both volume and tone, and voices that don't make sense for the characters (deep kit voices, high squeaky toms that dont always sound that way) make this book very hard to listen to. As this is the narrator's first in the series, hopefully she continues to improve, but this was rough to get through.

Disappointing Performance

I don’t HATE the new narrator, she’s tolerable, and I’m sure she’s doing her best ! But she could put in more effort to make the experience immersive, like giving some characters more of a voice, or at least not giving them all monotoned voices. Maybe she could read ahead and look for the emotions the characters are expressing and try to sound more like that ! Enough with the negativity, I LOVVVEEEE Moonpaw! She’s my fave protagonist since Bristlefrost, probably because I have a mile long list of conspiracies about what’s going on with her and the connection between her and her dead sister. (Spoiler ig) I like having Leafstar’s POV cause aside from being one of my fave leaders, I also really like her as a character and we’ve never seen her POV before. As for Tawnypelt, I like her, not much else to say. LOL

Oooommmggggggg

I was very disappointed that they didn’t use McLeod Andrews to narrate this book, as with most of the others. I imagine they did it because the main characters are female, however his narration is much better and his male and female voices are both very good. The book was great as always, but this narrator makes it hard to listen to.

Love the book but needs a new narrator
