A cataclysmic, city-destroying tsunami crashes its way through San Francisco and it’s not looking to recede anytime soon…

Relentless waves and terrifying rises of flood waters. People stranded in the tops of the highest buildings. No hope for rescue. Ever.

Kellen Bennett has lived his entire life in deep-seated fear. But, in the face of human extinction, he can finally become the man he always wanted to be. Brave.

Being the CEO of his company, Kellen feels responsible for those who are stranded in his building and is willing to do whatever it takes to look after them until help arrives.

Tyler Walsh, a food deliveryman, finds himself stranded with an arrogant businessman and a floor full of scared people. He doesn’t want to wait to be rescued. His family is out there somewhere, and he’ll swim across the entire Pacific Ocean if that means getting to them.

He may only be eighteen, but Tyler has more street smarts than all the survivors he’s stuck with combined, which means he can’t leave them to their own devices, or they’ll all die.

With unmanned ships crashing into buildings, strange weather outbursts at every turn, and people losing their minds to fear of the unknown, Kellen and Tyler must team up to devise a plan to rescue themselves and those around them.

But Earth is furious, throwing a tantrum of epic proportions.

As the weather events multiply and increase in violent nature, they realize time is quickly running out.

They have to get off the building and onto dry land before their only source of protection crumbles into the wicked, monstrous sea.

If there’s any land left standing that is…

Waves of Fury is a post-apocalyptic adventure set in a tsunami-flooded city in the Pacific Northwest.

This story combines my two favorite genres into one really great gay oriented apocalyptic disaster book. Narration was also well done. Well worth a credit!

So so good!

Whether from an asteroid knocking into the moon to affect the gravitational pull on our planet or global warming phenomena or the launching of the nuclear missiles (either through stupid human error or world wars) or just mother nature herself our lives as we know it sit on a precarious balance; we are one major catastrophe away from the end of civilization. You want to truly know who your friends, family and neighbors are? You will find out with the 'end of civilization'.

I enjoyed this title; Webster did a great job at building a world in decline from multiple ranges of disasters that are plausible. She also did a great job of showing humans at their greatest and at their absolute worst. And even better, she showed us love can still bloom even as the world crashes down around us. Now for the narrator: James Paris is definitely not my first pick of male performers and although he didn't hinder my ability to enjoy this title; his voice did not enhance it either. The crash sound affects were cool though.

4 Starz - worthy of a repeat listen

This Seems Eerily Possible

The premise is problematic. Why did Mother Nature go insane? We have no idea. It’s convenient that important people showed up exactly when needed. The age gap between two characters would be an issue under normal circumstances but no one is a minor and the end of the world came make you see people in a different light.

The pluses are the survival was hard. No one was friendly and lots of allies die along the way. One of them was so shocking that I still feel it. It’s quite frankly horrifying and one of the things that illustrates how devastating the disaster is. It actually brought tears to my eyes.

Would I recommend this? Hard to say. If you can get past the major flaw of “why did this even happen?” then I suppose it’s worth the listen.

The idea is good

it's hard to listen to this narrator, the voice is flat and androgynous. I'll stick with it and the voice will stop grating on me. I hope. No luck, I just wanna barf because of the female robot voice. Exchange!!!

I can't take the reader voice
