A loner at heart, Dix’s plans and life changes dramatically when he meets and falls in love with a local saloon girl named Trixie. After they marry, Dix plans to work one more year to earn enough money to buy land and start a ranch.

Their plans fall apart when an old friend of Trixie’s, a fellow saloon girl plots to rob them at the home they share with Dix’s friend, a federal judge. Trixie’s friend and her male partner strike when Dix is away serving warrants. The judge is robbed and wounded. Trixie is raped and beaten, resulting in the loss of her unborn baby.

When Dix returns and discovers what has happened, revenge it on the top of his list. Warrants in hand, Dix sets out to find Trixie’s friend and her male partner.
