Picked this up after listening to the podcast Confessions of Anthony Raimondi. That production, which is available for free, was far superior to this audiobook. The narrator is really trying hard to capture the feeling of the subject matter, but the fake Brooklyn accent is poorly executed. I was hanging in there through the early chapters but once he joins the military the story descends into what can only be described as 7th grade fan fiction about what being in Vietnam must have been like. I tapped out after that and returned the title to get my credit back which is something I have only done on very rare occasions.

This book is absolutely horrible. Narration, story, writing , all of it. Hard to imagine this could even get printed. Most is not believable.

good read, but take it as a fiction book and not non fiction. as prior marine you can tell a lot of his marine time was made up, so i will asume the mob stuff was as well.
