Finding four soul-bonded mates should be a blessing for a magically incompetent witch, except they have no clue who or what I am.

Nobody does.

Not even me.

Officially, I don’t exist. At least I didn’t until I accidentally set fire to a farmer’s market. That’s when I’m sent to Starfall Academy for the most powerful magicals, where students hone their skills and learn control.

Alaric Vane is the son of the Mage Council leader. A storm mage with a serious attitude problem who enjoys making my life miserable when he’s not sending my magic haywire.

Zane Vanyx is the last of his kind, the only son of an insane mass-murderer. Everyone’s afraid of the incubus, but he’s taken to stalking me, which is concerning.

Maverick Wilder, our bear shifter PT instructor, is huge, fierce, and strangely protective. He claims he’s my mate, which can’t be true because faculty and students are forbidden from fraternizing. And that includes being together in his office after hours…

Kai Seathorne is a shy, sweet merman, and one of the few students who doesn’t make fun of me. I’d love to get to know him better, but in our elitist society, witches and lesser magicals don’t mix. Or kiss.

Sadly, my confusing love life is the least of my concerns.

I can’t afford to let my guard down.

Not with vicious hellhounds hunting me.

I stumbled across this book and I'm so happy I did. I love the duel narration, both have such a huge range. Story keeps you interested from the very beginning. Easy to follow too. This would make an amazing movie or tv series!

Amazing story line and narration!

Where is the hype about this book? One of my favorite reverse harem books to date. So underrated. Everyone should be raving about it

Amazing

This was so dang good! I’ve been in a slump lately reading disappointment after disappointment. But this was so good!
The story line was interesting and not too slow, good world building. The FMC is not annoying or super naive.
The best part was the duet narration! If all books could be duet that would be amazing! The narrators were new to me but wow did they have range! Definitely going to continue the series.

So good!!

It’s a good story. No doubt about that.

The narration is duet - a huge plus.

The male narrator is phenomenal - easily a 4.5/5. He has an uncanny talent for producing genuinely unique voices with extremely convincing accents/diakects.

The female narrator is vexing. I’m not sure why she chooses to voice her characters with a high pitched, whiney, almost hysterical affect. It’s definitely a choice as evidenced by her more typical pitch and relaxed delivery during inner monologue, etc. It is jarring and distracting at times, and gives the series a campy feel when I think a heavier, darker, more serious tone is what the story calls for. I can’t give her more than 3 stars out of 5 for her delivery. If she toned it down it could be much higher.

Good start - a thought on the narration…

Fantastic performance. Narrators mix all perdons with different voives interactivelly. Amazing. Would love all the books were narrated like this.

Fantastic narrators
