I really loved this book. Not only does it portray true love between mates, but the brotherly bond between Eric and Seth Volk was so refreshing, I absolutely loved it. Mia’s fiery spirit was amusing, though I’ll admit she got on my nerves from time to time. Still, I appreciated her deep feelings for Seth and her openness toward shifters, which added depth to her character. The narration was spot on and Seth actually sounded like a scary, sexy wolf! The narration definitely elevated the story and brought the characters to life in a realistic way.

This book is full of twists and turns that kept me engaged from start to finish. As the first book in the series, it did a great job setting up the story, and I’m genuinely looking forward to continuing with book two, Alpha.

Okay?We understand that she is a police officer.We don't need to bring it up in every single sentence.Every single time anything happens or anyone does anything?I was really liking this book, but I can't finish it.I'm so over that part of the story.It's extremely annoying and tedious

I really enjoyed the first book, in this series, with the exception of the Heroine’s inability to accept the differences between the human and shifter communities; she didn’t even try. Other than that, I am excited to experience the development of this series.

There are a few intimate scenes but, they aren’t overly descriptive and there aren’t very many.

There is some shifter violence but, they are not too descriptive, either.

There was a mystery to solve and I didn’t solve it before the author revealed the truth.

Overall, I considered it a credit worthy listen.
